The MS committee has been working to plan this event for quite
some time. Chairman, Dr. Ron Pierce recently learned that among the
many outstanding silent auction items, will be donations from the
Central Illinois Woodturners Club, a club of which he is a member.
Among the items being donated: several wine bottle stoppers, a solid
cherry cutting board, refrigerator magnets from wood, wooden pens, a
beautiful turned bowl, several toy tops and a gorgeous wooden
pendant necklace. One member of the CIW club is also an accomplished
artist and has donated a beautiful watercolor painting.
In addition to the donations from the CIW; there are many, many
wonderful donations from local businesses and organizations.
Examples of what will be available include hair care products,
cosmetics, car care products, a socket set, and one night stays at
local hotels.

The community is invited to come out to Kickapoo Park on Sunday and take a look
at some of these great items. You do not have to be participating in the walk to
bid on these items, and all the proceeds will be added to the annual fundraiser
amount for the Logan County MS Walk.
In addition, the MS Walk committee is grateful to all those who came out to the
Lincoln IGA last week for the sandwich fundraiser. The fundraiser went well as
did the bake sale that ran along with it.
