Lincoln Taekwondo in Lincoln, finishes well at the 2016 Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament

[August 08, 2016]  Results of competitors from Scott Brown's Lincoln Taekwondo in Lincoln, at the 2016 Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament held August 6, 2016, at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Tournament Director and longtime friend, Master Vera Harrison conducted a very well organized tournament with participants from throughout the country.

Twelve of thirteen Lincoln competitors participating in the Olympic Style Sparring Competition resulted in seven 1st place, two 2nd place, and three 3rd place awards.

Twelve of the thirteen Lincoln competitors participating in Forms Competition resulted in seven 1st places, two 2nd places and three 3rd places in their respective divisions

Six of the thirteen competitors in the Breaking Competition earned five 1st places and one 3rd place.

Elizabeth Denzler - (14 Year old Brown Belt) 1st Sparring and 3rd place Forms

Son Phan - (Senior Men’s Blue Belt) 1st Sparring, 1st Forms and 1st place Breaking

Shadae Carter - (15-Year-old Green Belt) 1st Sparring, 1st Breaking and 3rd place Forms

Sydney Phan - (6-year-old Green Belt) 1st Sparring, 1st Breaking and 1st place Forms
