[August 10, 2016]  LINCOLN -  Nathan Scott Gunterman, 22, of Lincoln, passed away at 2:47 a.m. July 26, 2016.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Obituary

Nathan Scott Gunterman, 22, of Lincoln, passed away at 2:47 a.m. July 26, 2016.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Nathan was born June 14, 1994, in Pekin, the son of Larry and Nancy (Krusemark) Gunterman. He attended grade school in Delavan and was a 2013 graduate of Lincoln Community High School.

He was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Nathan enjoyed fishing and trapping. He also had a passion for playing street hockey and would travel to various places just to skate. He enjoyed family vacations to Long Lake, Minnesota. Nathan loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, and dogs outdoors playing in the neighborhood.

 

Surviving are his parents Larry and Nancy Gunterman of Lincoln, maternal grandfather Calvin Krusemark of Mason City, siblings: Chad (Connie) Gunterman of Parksville, KY., Corey Gunterman of Delavan, Natalie Notto (Brett Pokorski) of Lincoln, Jeremy (Harle) Banister of Lincoln, Chelsea Gunterman (JT Ashley) of Lincoln, and Alexis Gunterman of Lincoln. He was affectionately called "Uncle Buddy" by Haley Gunterman, Holly Gunterman, Cole Goforth, Landon Notto, Airiana Hoyt, Nevaeh Banister, and Layne Banister. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He as preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John Urban and Flora Mae Gunterman and his maternal grandmother Shirley June Spurling.

Memorial donations may be made to the LCHS Bass Fishing Team and will be accepted at the funeral home.
