Abigail Neece to join staff at Lincoln Park District as new Program Director

[August 12, 2016]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln Park District is pleased to welcome Abigail Neece as the newest member of the Lincoln Park District staff. She will be the new Program Coordinator for the district.

Neece is local to the community, attending Lincoln Community High School, and is a recent graduate of Illinois State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management.

She brings three-plus years of recreation management experience from her time at ISU. During college Neece worked for a before and after school program in Normal, were she planned and organized recreational events, she was also an employee at Illinois State’s Campus Recreation facility.

She was involved in extracurricular activities while at ISU and was voted President of ISU's Parks and Recreation club, and also participated in a campus sorority, and played intramural volleyball.

“Abigail has a true passion for recreation and Lincoln as a community,” says Park Director John Andrews. “We are very excited to have her as a part of the Lincoln Park District team!”

Abby’s parents are Amy and Scott Neece and she has a brother Wes. Abby will officially start August 15th as Program Coordinator at the Park District.
