Logan County Board approves Dr. Stephanie Gadbois appointment

[August 22, 2016]  LINCOLN - At their regular meeting on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, the Logan County Board unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Stephanie Gadbois to the Logan County Board of Health.

Health Department updates

Logan County Department of Public Health Administrator Don Cavi said they are working on a plan for construction to add in office spaces for the clinic. He hopes to start getting construction bids in September and have construction begin in November.

Cavi said their grant should be approved soon and SIU will start coming in to do dental and medical clinics as of January 1, 2017.

Cavi said he hopes by December the department will be able to be open until noon on Fridays. He said if the state budget passes, they hope to eventually be open full time hours again.

Cavi also said they have not had to borrow from the special fund approved by the county yet.
