[November 30, 2016]  On Friday, December 2nd, the Palms Grill Dinner Program will present guest speakers Joe Schaler and Dan Benedict of the Logan County Veteran's Assistance Commission.

Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Palms Grill, 110 S.W. Arch Street in Atlanta. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

At this year’s Illinois State Fair, Governor Bruce Rauner named Lincoln resident, Joe Schaler, the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs Patriotic Volunteer of the Year for 2016 for his work in establishing the Logan County Veterans Assistance Commission.

Joe and VAC Superintendent, Dan Benedict, will be on hand for the Atlanta Public Library's Friday, December 2nd Dinner Program, where they will tell the story of the work involved in getting the VAC set up and funded, plus share information about what the VAC's mission is, where it is located, and what services it offers.
