[December 01, 2016]  LINCOLN -  Linda L. Sherrer, 64, of Lincoln, passed away Thanksgiving day, November 24, 2016, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Service: Thursday, December 1, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Linda L. Sherrer, 64, of Lincoln, passed away Thanksgiving day, November 24, 2016, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Linda was born June 4, 1952, in Lincoln, the daughter of Charles and Donna Belle (Petro) Vannoy. She married Earl Smith; he preceded her in death. She later married David Sherrer on July 5, 1983. She was employed at the bottle factory in Lincoln for 31 years and was a past employee of the Woodlawn Café.

 

Survivors include her husband David Sherrer of Lincoln; children Jodi Miller of Lincoln, Shane (Tamie) Smith of Petersburg, Eric Smith of Lincoln, and Kelsey (CJ) Skelton of Middletown; step children Stacey (RD) Shull of Beason, Tonia Lowe of Atlanta, and Tamira Ryan of Victorville, CA. Eighteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and her brother Billy Vannoy also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Earl Smith, and her son Derek Sherrer.

Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
