Russia's Lukoil, after meeting Novak, says no recommendation on output quotas

[December 07, 2016] MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's Energy Ministry has not given any recommendations on output quotas to Russian oil producers, Vagit Alekperov, Lukoil Chief Executive, told reporters after a meeting with the energy minister on Wednesday.

He was speaking after a meeting between oil producers and Energy Minister Alexander Novak. The meeting was called to discuss planned output cuts agreed as part of a deal with OPEC.

"There is no decision yet," said Alekperov, without providing details.

Russia's Novatek Chief Executive Leonid Mikhelson told reporters that the energy ministry would comment on the meeting's outcome later.
