Memorial to hold free seminar on Hip Replacement

[December 08, 2016]  SPRINGFIELD – Memorial Medical Center will host a free seminar on hip reconstruction and replacement at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation.

The one-hour program, “A History of Total Hip Arthroplasty,” will feature Dr. Piero Capecci, an orthopedic surgeon with Springfield Clinic.

The program will discuss the controversies, complications and quality control issues related to total hip replacement and reconstruction.

The Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation (MCLI) is at 228 W. Miller St., at the southeast corner of Rutledge and Miller streets. Free parking is available on the first and third levels of the parking garage south of the MCLI at Rutledge and Carpenter streets.

The seminar will be in the M.G. Nelson Family Auditorium on the first floor.
