[December 10, 2016]   New Holland warmly welcomed in the Christmas season on a cold December evening. It began with the annual Christmas parade which took place on Saturday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m.

There were 24 entries, which included a waving reindeer, Santa, floats from several local businesses and fire trucks; all lit up and looking festive. A veteran's group handed out stuffed animals to the children enjoying the parade and of course there was plenty of candy thrown to waiting children.

After the parade, there was an open house at the New Holland Fire Department with chili, vegetable soup, and hotdogs served.

In the warmth, children had a chance to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
