[December 12, 2016]  The Lady Railers got their own opportunity to play in the Jacksonville Bowl Saturday afternoon and they came away with a 54-22 win over the Crimsons.

Lincoln led by a slim 8-7 margin after one quarter of play but by halftime had doubled the score on the Crimsons, 16-8.

A tremendous scoring effort in the second half allowed the Lady Railers to jump out to a 36-16 third quarter lead and then the lead only grew bigger in the final quarter as the Lincoln defense continued to shut down Jacksonville.

The 54-22 win is the third win in a row for Lincoln.

Following the win, Lincoln Head Coach Taylor Richmond said, "The girls really came out after halftime and were able to pull away. They did an excellent job executing our defense and made some great plays down the stretch."

The Lady Railers record currently stands at 4 wins and 5 losses with a lot of basketball yet to play.

This week the Lady Railers play at Williamsville on Tuesday and at Springfield Lanphier on Thursday. The JV contest begins at 6 p.m. both evenings with Varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Lincoln will then host Sacred Heart Griffin at Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon with the JV set to tip off at 3 p.m. and the Varsity scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
