G Lars Johansson was assigned to the American Hockey League's
Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday with G Corey Crawford (appendectomy)
getting activated.
G Corey Crawford was activated from injured reserve Tuesday, and
Chicago reassigned G Lars Johansson to the American Hockey
League's Rockford IceHogs. Crawford skated for the fifth
straight day Tuesday as he continues to recover from an
appendectomy. Crawford, who has missed 10 games, expects to
return Friday against Colorado.
RW Patrick Kane notched two assists Tuesday in the Blackhawks'
4-3 loss to the Senators.
RW Marian Hossa left due to an upper-body injury in the first
period Tuesday. Hossa logged only 2 minutes 53 seconds of the
first period before the Blackhawks announced at the start of the
second period the 37-year-old would not return. Hossa's injury
was not specified by the team.
C Artem Anisimov missed his second straight game due to an
upper-body injury. Anisimov, who ranks third on the team with 27
points, did not skate Tuesday morning and is listed as
day-to-day.
