Mount Pulaski wins in blowout fashion over Blue Ridge 66-31

[December 23, 2016]  The Hilltoppers win round two. Mount Pulaski won their second game of the Decatur St. Teresa Team Soy Christmas Tournament in blowout fashion.

The Hilltoppers had a 20-0 first quarter lead over Blue Ridge and by the time the half was reached, Mount Pulaski commanded a 43-16 lead.

The highlight of the third quarter was a breakaway dunk by 6’8 Junior Peyton Taylor. Mount Pulaski continued to roll with a 56-21 lead as the third quarter came to a close.

The final in this one was 66-31 as Mount Pulaski downed Blue Ridge.

Peyton Taylor scored 16 points to lead the way and both Gezus Oliver and Jonathan Shehorn had 10 points.

Mount Pulaski improves to 5-6 and will take on Heyworth next Wednesday, December 28 as the tournament resumes. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at St. Teresa High School.
