[December 28, 2016]  NORMAL - Rebecca Ann Cox. 79, of Normal, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 1:30 a.m. at the Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Normal.

Visitation:  10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Medora.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Rebecca Ann Cox. 79, of Normal, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 1:30 a.m. at the Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Normal.

Rebecca was born March 29, 1937, in Shipman to Earl T. and Opal (Clower) Hunt. She married Lester L. Cox on January 28, 1956, in Medora. He preceded her in death on May 2nd, 2012.

Rebecca worked more than 20 years in banking. Her last employer was the Greenview State Bank. She was a member of the Mason City Assembly of God Church and The Tabernacle Church in Normal.

Rebecca is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Jeff and Lisa Cox on Monroe, NC, and William and Tammy Cox of Normal, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Fannie Mae Kahl

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Medora. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastors James Sprinkle and Timothy Ferrill officiating.

Burial will be at the Medora Cemetery

Memorials may be made to Safe Haven Hospice in Lincoln, the Mason City Assembly of God Church or The Tabernacle Church in Normal.
