[December 28, 2016]  MOUNT PULASKI - Joe E. Mason, 60, of Mount Pulaski, passed away December 7, 2016, at his home.

Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

Obituary

Joe E. Mason, 60, of Mount Pulaski, passed away December 7, 2016, at his home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Joe was born October 3, 1956, in Peoria County, the son of William H. and Verna (Stoll) Mason. He married Lisa (Steffens) Horath on December 22, 1994, in Buffalo.

Joe was a farmer. He was a member of Logan County Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed boating, fishing, being outdoors, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, and gambling. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

 

Survivors include his mother Verna Stoll of Lincoln, wife Lisa Mason of Mount Pulaski, children April (James) Breedwell of New Holland, Dawn Mason of Lincoln, Tanya Mason (Frank Spinner) of Chestnut, Lindsey (DJ) Maxheimer of Lincoln, and Lacey Horath of Lincoln, grandchildren Dustin, Alexis, Damian, Caleb and Bradley; and good friend Lynn (Judy) Haseley of Lincoln. He is also survived by many friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, Logan County Ducks Unlimited, or Special Olympics and will be accepted at the funeral home.
