[December 28, 2016]  LINCOLN - Katherine R. Swarts, 49, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at 10:02 a.m. at her home.

Visitation: Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Service: 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln     

Obituary

Katherine R. Swarts, 49, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at 10:02 a.m. at her home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Margaret Ann Jessup officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Burial will be at a later date in New Union cemetery in Lincoln.

Katherine Rebecca Russell was born on January 16, 1967 in Lincoln, the daughter of Thomas H. and Helen Virginia George Russell.

She is survived by her daughters: Rebecca (Logan) Ramos and Shanna (Shane) Winters; significant other Matt Garrison; three sisters: Helen Louise (Glen) Meredith, Debra (Stacy Boughan) Coons, and Patricia (Brad Centers) Russell; and three grandchildren: Madison Swarts, Kole Winters, and Genevive Ramos.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Katherine graduated from the Lincoln Community High School in 1985.

She was employed by the State of Illinois in the Child Support Division.

Memorials may be made to Pets without Parents in Mason City.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
