Men's and Women's Cross Country

[February 09, 2016]    The Lincoln College Women's and Men's Cross Country teams were both ranked in the top 10 nationally for their academic achievements in the Fall 2015 season. The women's team was ranked 6th and the men's team was ranked 8th. This marks the 4th year in a row were both teams were All-NJCAA Academic teams.

The women's Academic team was composed of Jamieria Stennis (Robbins, IL), Malory Tharp (Kirkwood, IL), Amber Pierce (Calumet Park, IL), Emma Cluskey (Henry, IL), Sala Hanne (East Moline, IL), Iradukunda Josephine (Rock Island, IL), and Deanna Anglin (Chicago, IL). The men's team was composed of John Davis (Lincoln, IL), Bryant Lewis (Bloomington, IL), Spencer Mellow (Palm Coast, FL), Garrad Straube (Quincy, IL), and Brody Williams (Peoria, IL).

Head coach Brian Herron said of his teams, "I am very proud of them for the work they do in the classroom. They do an outstanding job of pushing themselves both athletically and academically. They are a very special group of young women and men and I know that their futures are very bright. They are what being a student-athlete is all about."
