The Lady Toppers started off hot in the first quarter with
Skylar Hayes hitting two 3’s and going 5 for 6 from the
free-throw line to give the Toppers a 14 – 4 lead.
The Lady Cougars would not go away quietly and narrowed the game
at half to 23 – 14.
The teams exchanged baskets for the remainder of the game which
kept the Toppers on top for the win 41 – 31.
Hayes led all scorers with 25, while Breanna Rentmeister tossed
in 6, Hailey Moore 5, Alyssa Bridge 3 and Elizabeth Seibert 2.
Hayes also had 5 rebounds and 5 steals on the night to assist
the Toppers to victory. The Toppers shot a respectable 13 for 16
from the charity stripe in the effort.
