Lincoln Woman's Club accepting applications for Vina Miller Memorial Scholarship and Cultural Exchange Program Scholarship

[February 13, 2016]  LINCOLN - Vina Miller Memorial Scholarship - The GFWC Lincoln Woman's Club has scholarship applications available for the Vina Miller Memorial Scholarship in the field of Home Life for students attending any college in Illinois in the Fall of 2016.

This scholarship is provided by the GFWC Illinois Federation of Woman's Clubs. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from across the State of Illinois.

The field of Home Life includes studies in the area of Nursing, Disability Care, Consumer Arts, Family Economics, Substance Abuse Prevention/Counseling, etc Funds will be mailed directly to the school/university.

The postmark deadline for all applications is Feb 15, 2016. Application forms are available by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Cindy Stover, 21 Grand Oaks Dr, Lincoln IL 62656.

Applications are also available through the guidance departments of Lincoln Community High School, Hartsburg-Emden High School, and Mount Pulaski High School. Winners will be notified of their status by April 1, 2016.

Cultural Exchange Program Scholarship

The GFWC Lincoln Woman's Club has scholarship applications available for students who have applied for acceptance in a student cultural exchange program to a foreign country through a high school or university located in Illinois. These scholarships are provided by the GFWC Illinois Federation of Woman's Clubs. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges from across the State of Illinois.

Payment of the $1000 scholarship will be made to the Cultural Exchange Program in the student’s name in one installment. Verification of participation in the program will be required
