[February 17, 2016]  The Lincoln Park District has been a huge part of Logan County for nearly 55 years.

The Park District offers a large variety of amenities and events to our community and surrounding areas. We are happy to help you with a room rental for family reunions or special events in our ball room. Or perhaps you would like to bring the whole family out and shoot baskets, play volleyball, or attend a painting class?

Come out and enjoy our facility and various activities every day of the week virtually all year long.

We are also proud to be the largest fitness facility in Lincoln with a vast circuit and strength training area.
If you like group fitness classes, the Lincoln Park District Fit Zone is the place to be!

Jacki Pavlik, Fitness Director, and our fitness staff offer a huge assortment of trendy group fitness classes, incentives and activities all year long at the Lincoln Park District. These classes include: Muscle Structure, Cardio Dance Mix, Spinning, Ab Attack, Circuit Training, Fit 4 Seniors, Cardio Kickboxing, Yoga and more!

Classes are held in our spacious aerobic studio or 15 bike spin room.

One of our most popular fitness programs that we offer is our Fit for Senior and Fit 4 Life classes. These classes are tailored mainly for the baby boomer generation and over. The focus of these classes is on low impact cardiovascular exercises, strength, flexibility, balance and mobility. This class has grown through the years to over 50 participants.

In the Fit for Seniors class many participants are retired and there's even a few over 80 who enjoy getting moving and stretched out. Before and after class participants enjoy camaraderie and encouragement to stay fit.

Group Spinning classes are also very popular. These indoor cycling classes focus on endurance, strength, intervals, and high intensity using a stationary bike with a weighted flywheel. They are set to energizing music with a motivating instructor pushing you through all types of terrain. This is an awesome, low impact, cardiovascular workout.

If you are just starting out on your fitness journey, let one of our certified Personal Trainers help guide you in the right direction. Our trainers are experienced and qualified to assist everyone at any fitness level and help them reach their goals. Exercise with one of our trainers to better facilitate your health, wellness, and fitness. Our trainers will focus on technique and form for optimal results.

Personal trainer Danita Barger helps Chris Graue stay fit. She monitors Graue's technique as he moves station to station in a customized workout intended to maintain and increase heart rhythm, muscle, coordination and strength. Graue said he comes from a family with heart disease. He works-out to stay healthy, plus he likes to be fit for leadership and a model for youth when he goes to the Philmont Scout Ranch each summer.

When warmer weather arrives, we invite you to come out and enjoy the new aquatic center that opened last summer. The aquatic center consists of a 6 lane lap pool, a large curvy yellow slide that dumps you in the plunge pool and an enclosed zero depth wading pool for toddlers.

We also have a skate park, playground equipment and a driving range to perfect your golf swing before heading out to the course.

Lauren Ruckman our Program Coordinator has assembled and oversees a wide variety of activities and events, such as painting classes, a Valentine’s Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Treats with Santa, Junior Railer Basketball, Tennis Camp, Coed Volleyball, Recreation Baseball and Softball leagues for youth, adult women’s slow pitch softball and more!

The Lincoln Park District strives to bring fun, interactive programs and fitness classes “fit” for every lifestyle. We invite you to come and take a tour of our facility and see what a difference being a member of the Lincoln Park District can make in your life!
