[February 16, 2016]   LINCOLN - The Logan County Department of Public Health, Lincoln Park District, and Healthy Communities Partnership are excited to invite the public to the free Wellness Expo on Saturday, February 20 from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the Lincoln Park District.

“Healthy Communities Partnership is thrilled to bring health-inspiring events to Logan County,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, HCP manager. “We anticipate that the 2016 Wellness Expo will be the biggest health promotion event in Logan County history. With a variety of free screenings and fun things for the family, there will be no better way to spend February 20.”

HCP is sponsoring a free 65 foot inflatable obstacle course for all ages and will be encouraging people to increase their physical activity levels by “taking their brains on a walk”. The HCP display will feature the health benefits of taking just a 20-minute walk every day. Attendees who visit the HCP booth can enter to win a Fitbit Charge HR which monitors steps, heart rate, calories and more.
