[February 18, 2016]  Your health... it is your most precious resource, and one that you control. You may even be the most influential person, responsible for children and seniors in your family.

Lincoln Daily News is bringing you this two-part publication we hope informs and inspires you to make use of local resources to make best health and fitness choices. We hope it may even persuade you to make a lifestyle change if it is needed.

In the first edition we are bringing you articles written by local experts on key health matters and fitness choices. In the second edition, LDN will bring you photos and additional coverage of the all-new Wellness Expo.

The Logan County Department of Public Health, Lincoln Park District, and the Healthy Communities Partnership are hosting this first time Wellness Expo on Saturday, February 20th from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Expo is free and takes place at the Lincoln Park District.

This event replaces the former Health Fair with greater emphasis on lifestyle.

Angela Stoltzenburg, Healthy Communities Partnership said, “The Expo is a great opportunity to learn about local resources for healthy habits. Simply attending the Expo is a step in the right direction for a healthier life and it’s a great way for families to help celebrate health together.”

Exhibitors will offer a variety of activities, drawings and give-aways, talks, and demonstrations throughout the Expo.

In the Ball Room at 9:30 a.m. Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator at ALMH, Jennifer DiPasquale will talk on diabetes; at 10:30 will be a demonstration on hip hop hula and cardio dance; and at 11:30 an international lactation consultant will discuss breastfeeding.

Back by popular demand this year is the 65-foot inflatable obstacle course offering unlimited fun for all ages.
