NBA roundup: Clippers clobber Spurs

 LOS ANGELES -- Chris Paul scored 26 of his 28 points in the second half, and the Los Angeles Clippers snapped the San Antonio Spurs' six-game winning streak with a 105-86 victory Thursday night at Staples Center.

Paul also had 12 assists as the Clippers won for the eighth time in 10 games. Jamal Crawford had 19 points for Los Angeles, and J.J. Redick added 17.

Tony Parker scored 14 points, David West had 12 and LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 10 points for the Spurs, who played without All-Star Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard, the club's leading scorer at 20.2 points per game, was a late scratch due to tightness in his left calf. Kyle Anderson, who had eight points, started in his place.
 


Cavaliers 106, Bulls 95

CLEVELAND -- LeBron James had 25 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, and Cleveland dumped Chicago.

Kevin Love scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and Tristan Thompson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland. Kyrie Irving scored 19 points.

Derrick Rose scored 28 points and Pau Gasol scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Chicago after days of speculation over whether he would be dealt at the trade deadline.

Wizards 103, Jazz 89

WASHINGTON -- John Wall had 17 points and 11 assists as Washington topped Utah.

Fueled by a potent fastbreak and 27 points off 23 Jazz turnovers, the Wizards dominated the Jazz. Marcin Gortat led Washington with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Nene and Bradley Beal each scored 16 points.

Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 19 points, and Rodney Hood had 18. Utah lost its second game in a row after a seven-game winning streak.
