NBA roundup: Trail Blazers rout Warriors

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Damian Lillard bombed in a career-high 51 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 137-105 drubbing of the Golden State Warriors on Friday night at the Moda Center.

CJ McCollum added 21 points and seven assists and Mason Plumlee contributed 12 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Blazers, who won for the ninth time in 10 games.

Stephen Curry scored 31 points despite not playing the fourth quarter for the Warriors, who saw an 11-game win streak ended. Guard Klay Thompson had 21 points in Golden State's most one-sided defeat of the season.

The Blazers shot 53.6 percent from the field and a sizzling 56.7 percent from 3-point range, knocking down 17 of 30 shots from beyond the arc. The Warriors shot 39.1 percent from the field and 35.3 (12 of 34) from 3-point range.

Rockets 116, Suns 100

PHOENIX -- James Harden scored 16 of his 27 points from the free throw line and Trevor Ariza added 25 points as Houston got back to .500.

Patrick Beverley added 18 points and Dwight Howard had 15 points for Houston, which snapped the three-game losing streak it took into the All-Star break. The Rockets, who made 35 of 56 free throws in the game, took control with a 20-5 run late in the second quarter and never looked back.

Mirza Teletovic had a season-high 25 points for the Suns, who have lost a season-high 10 straight games. Phoenix has dropped 25 of 27 games since Dec. 20, the worst 27-game stretch in the history of the franchise. Kris Humphries, acquired from the Washington Wizards in the Markieff Morris deal on Thursday, had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds in his first game with the Suns.

Pacers 101, Thunder 98

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Monta Ellis scored 27 points to lead Indiana over Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Ellis made 10 of 16 shots from the field and was 3 of 5 from behind the 3-point line. Paul George added 22 points and 10 assists. Ian Mahinmi had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 31 points. Russell Westbrook had 23 points and 18 assists. Enes Kanter came off the bench to add 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Jazz 111, Celtics 93

SALT LAKE CITY -- Derrick Favors had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Gordon Hayward added 22 points to lead Utah over Boston.

Rudy Gobert had 11 points and 15 rebounds and Raul Neto added 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the field for the Jazz, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Isaiah Thomas scored 25 points and Jae Crowder added 17 to lead the Celtics.

Spurs 119, Lakers 113

LOS ANGELES -- Tony Parker scored 25 points to lead San Antonio over Los Angeles at Staples Center.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 16 points and eight rebounds, Patty Mills added 15 points and seven assists, and Tim Duncan chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds for San Antonio, which bounced back after the Los Angeles Clippers snapped their six-game winning streak with a 105-86 rout on Thursday. The Spurs swept the season series against the Lakers.

Kobe Bryant had 25 points, Lou Williams contributed 21 points and Jordan Clarkson had 20 points and six assists for the Lakers, who dropped their fourth in a row and 18th in the last 21 games. Julius Randle had 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Kings 116, Nuggets 110

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- DeMarcus Cousins delivered another dominant double-double with 37 points and 20 rebounds as Sacramento defeated Denver.

The Kings led by as much as 13 points early in the fourth quarter before the Nuggets closed to 105-100 with 2:30 left. Sacramento held on with some key defensive stops and big plays from Darren Collison and Rajon Rondo.

Rondo had an exceptional all-around game, missing a triple-double by one assist. He finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, and scored six points inside the final two minutes.

Denver was led by Danilo Gallinari with 27 points. Joffrey Lauvergne came off the bench to score 22 points in a little more than 24 minutes.

Grizzles 109, Timberwolves 104

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Mike Conley scored 25 points and Zach Randolph added 17 as Memphis defeated Minnesota at FedExForum for its 11th win over the Timberwolves in the past 12 games.

Zach LaVine led Minnesota with 22 points and Andrew Wiggins scored 20. Karl-Anthony Towns had 11 points and 15 rebounds for his 10th straight double-double. The Timberwolves did not miss any of their 31 free throw attempts.

Memphis was playing its second game without center Marc Gasol -- out for the season with a broken right foot -- and its first without Courtney Lee and Jeff Green, both of whom were dealt by the Grizzlies earlier in the week. As if the Grizzlies weren't short-handed enough, starting guard Tony Allen injured his left knee late in the second quarter and did not return.

Pelicans 121, 76ers 114

NEW ORLEANS -- Anthony Davis was an offensive force for New Orleans, outplaying Nerlens Noel and Philadelphia to the tune of 34 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.

The three-time All-Star converted 16 of 20 free throws. Davis fed off Jrue Holiday, who dished three alley-oops to the big man. Holiday picked up where he left off before the break, when he was averaging 18 points and 6.9 assists in the new year. The 25-year-old picked up a double-double in 33 minutes off the bench with 24 points and 12 assists.

Forward Nerlens Noel led the 76ers with 24 points and nine rebounds.

Bulls 116, Raptors 106

CHICAGO -- Doug McDermott scored a career-high 30 points and Chicago rallied past Toronto.

Derrick Rose scored 26 points and Pau Gasol added 18 points and 11 rebounds as Chicago snapped a five-game losing streak. The Bulls posted their eighth consecutive win over the Raptors and improved to 3-0 against Toronto this season.

Kyle Lowry had 27 points and eight assists to lead the Raptors. Jonas Valanciunas contributed 25 points and 12 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan added 22 points for Toronto, which dropped its second straight game.

Hornets 98, Bucks 95

MILWAUKEE -- Kemba Walker scored 25 points and Cody Zeller added 23 as Charlotte beat Milwaukee to open the second half of the season at Bradley Center.

Walker hit four 3-pointers and was 8 of 16 from the field to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Charlotte also got 15 points from Marvin Williams and 14 off the bench from Jeremy Lamb.

Khris Middleton scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and had a chance to tie the score at 94 when he was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 45 seconds left. He missed the second of his three shots and Marvin Williams followed with a 10-foot floater 20 seconds later to put Charlotte up three.

Jabari Parker led Milwaukee with 23 points and 11 rebounds, tying his career high in both categories with the first 20-10 game of his career.

Heat 115, Hawks 111

ATLANTA -- Luol Deng scored a season-high 30 points to lead short-handed Miami over Atlanta.

Deng made 11 of 17 shots from the floor and added 11 rebounds and four steals for a Miami team that was without three starters and had only nine healthy players. The Heat broke a two-game losing streak and won three of four meetings with the Hawks this season. The win pulled Miami into a tie for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Miami got a huge lift from Josh McRoberts, who made three 3-pointers and scored a season-high 19 points. McRoberts also had eight rebounds and 10 assists.

Atlanta was led by Jeff Teague with 23 points and seven assists before he fouled out. It was his fifth 20-point effort in the last nine games.

Nets 109, Knicks 98

NEW YORK -- Brook Lopez matched a season high with 33 points and Brooklyn ushered in the Sean Marks era against New York.

Lopez led six players in double figures and Marks watched his first game since leaving San Antonio to take the general manager job Billy King had until getting reassigned Jan. 10.

Along with a sellout crowd, Marks watched the Nets take a 14-point lead during the third quarter, give most of it back early in the fourth and make enough plays to midway through the fourth to get their 15th win in 55 games this season.

The Knicks lost their second game under interim coach Kurt Rambis, saw their losing streak reach a season-high seven games while losing for the 11th time in 12 games since Jan. 12. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 22 points.

Magic 110, Mavericks 104 (OT)

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Nikola Vucevic had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Orlando over Dallas in overtime.

Victor Oladipo had 17 points -- five in overtime -- and a career-high 14 rebounds for the Magic in the first game after the All-Star break for both teams. Brandon Jennings, obtained from Detroit on Wednesday, scored 18 points and hit 4 of 7 3-point shots. Reserve Ersan Ilyasova, also obtained from Detroit in the same trade, had 16 points and five rebounds before fouling out with 4:43 remaining.

The Mavericks were led by Chandler Parsons, who had 24 points and hit 6 of 7 3-point attempts. Guard Deron Williams contributed 24 points, four rebounds and four assists. The Mavericks set a franchise record with 19 3-point baskets in 41 attempts.



Wizards 98, Pistons 86

WASHINGTON -- John Wall had 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as Washington remained sharp after the All-Star break.

Bradley Beal scored 17 points and Marcin Gortat had 15 for the Wizards, who held their second straight opponent to fewer than 90 points. Washington never trailed and led by at least 12 points after every quarter for its second straight victory since returning from the break.

The game marked the debut for Detroit forward Tobias Harris and Washington big man Markieff Morris with their new teams. Harris led the Pistons with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field. Detroit has lost four straight.
