[February 26, 2016]  LINCOLN - Anna Evalyn Turner, 83, of Lincoln passed away at her home at 2:30 p.m. on February 24, 2016.

Visitation: Saturday, February 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at at the funeral home

Obituary

Anna Evalyn Turner, 83, of Lincoln passed away at her home at 2:30 p.m. on February 24, 2016.

Evalyn was born June 8, 1932 at McLeansboro, the daughter of Denzil and Jewell Smith Hutchcraft. She married Fritz Baldin April 24, 1955. He preceded her in death September 1, 1975. She then married Robert Turner in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Evalyn is survived by one son: David Baldin; and one daughter: Judy (Paul Kolessar) Prather, both of Lincoln; three grandchildren: Megan (Justin) Matheny; Leah (Daniel Bryson) Prather; Ian (Courtney Waugh) Prather; and two great grandchildren: Benjamin Bryson and
Amelia Matheny. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and son: Gary L. Baldin.

 

Evalyn worked as a secretary for the Logan County Farm Bureau and Lincoln College. She loved animals and was a caretaker of stray animals. She was a very loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.

Services for Evalyn will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Rev. Michael Paulson officiating. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00am (prior to the service) at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society or Logan Mason Public Transportation, 1800 5th St., Lincoln, IL 62656.
