Logan County 7th Grade Basketball Tournament Saturday results

[January 11, 2016]  LINCOLN - Saturday morning marked the first day of the annual Logan County Tournament, hosted by Carroll Catholic and located on the campus of Lincoln College.

Game one: Wolverines vs Stags

The first game of the day saw the Wolverines from West Lincoln-Broadwell defeat the Stags from Hartsburg-Emden by a score of 38-24.

West Lincoln was led in scoring by Brody Whiteman with 13 and Patrick McCraith with 12.

The rest of the scoring for WL-B was Battin with 6, Bowman with 5 and Miller with 2.

The Stags were led by Conner Zinser with 14, followed by Briggs with 8 and Johnson with 2.

Game two: Panthers vs. Bruins

The next contest pitted Chester-East Lincoln against Mount Pulaski. The Bruins came out with the victory by a score of 45-22.

Mount Pulaski was led in scoring by Drew Martin with 19 and Grant Davis with 16.

The rest of the scoring for the Bruins was from Cooper with 4 and Fitzpatrick, Siebart and Schneider with 2 each.

C-EL was led by Elijah Pollice with 6. Seth Tungate and Griffin Turner had 5 apiece followed by Sean Raffa with 4 and Ward with 2.

Game three: Crusaders vs. Wolverines

In the final matchup of the day, the Crusaders from Carroll Catholic/New Holland-Middletown/Zion Lutheran took on WLB.

The Crusaders won 42-30.

Dylan Singleton led the Crusaders with 18 points, followed by Trent Koehler and Alex Jannsen with 8 each, Andrew Graue with 6 and Everett Maaks with 2.

The Wolverines were led by Patrick McCraith with 13. The rest of the scoring for WL-B was Lucas Konczyk with 5, Daulton Miller with 4, Drew Bowman with 3, Scott Battin and Aragon with 2 a piece and Brody Whiteman with 1.

Thursday evening the Crusaders of CCS/NHM/ZLS will face Mount Pulaski for the County Championship.

Beginning the action will be WLB vs CEL for 3rd place. That game will begin at 6 p.m. with the championship game following.
