"Transitioning to Organic Grains" workshop to be held January 13th

[January 11, 2016]    LINCOLN - The Logan County Economic Development Partnership invites area farmers and the general public to a “Transitioning to Organic Grains” training workshop hosted by The Land Connection on January 13, 2016. The workshop will be held from 8am-5pm at Dorr Township Hall, 1039 Lake Avenue, in Woodstock, Illinois.

Logan County farmer, David Bishop, whose PrairiErth Farm operation is located just south of Atlanta, will be one of several featured speakers at the Transitioning to Organic Grains workshop.

The Land Connection is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to training farmers in resilient, restorative farming techniques, informing the public about the sources of our food and why that matters, and to protecting and enhancing farmland so that we, and generations to come, will have clean air and water, fertile soil, and healthy, delicious food. The Land Connection envisions community-based food systems in which every farmer has the opportunity to grow food in a sustainable manner, and every person can access local and organic foods.
