[January 14, 2016]  CALGARY, Alberta -- Sam Bennett became the youngest Calgary Flames player in franchise history to record a hat trick.

And the 19-year-old rookie added his fourth goal of the night with 24.2 seconds left in the third period for good measure.

Bennett had three of his goals in the first period of a convincing 6-0 win over the Florida Panthers at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday.

After going through an 18-game goalless drought, Bennett now has five goals in his past two games to give him 10 on the season.

Johnny Gaudreau and Mason Raymond also scored for the Flames, while Dougie Hamilton had two assists to give him 100 points in his fourth NHL season. Jiri Hudler also chipped in with two assists.

Ducks 4, Senators 1

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Shea Theodore's first NHL goal came with less than five minutes left in regulation Wednesday night and started a three-goal spurt that sent Anaheim to a 4-1 victory over Ottawa.

Theodore's power-play goal gave the Ducks their third win in the first five games of a season-high eight-game homestand. The Senators fell for the sixth time in their past eight games, a stretch that saw them outscored 30-12.
