Obituary
Claude E. Armour, 87 of Wapella, passed away 9:27
P.M. January 12, 2016 at Dr. John Warner Hospital,
Clinton.
No services are planned at this time. Calvert
Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with
cremation rites.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Claude was born September 24, 1928, in Fairview, KY
the son of Delbert and Lola Bell (Sloan) Armour. He
married Gladys M. Spray March 5, 1969, in Weldon.
Survivors include his wife: Gladys M. Armour,
Wapella; children: Ronnie (Jeff) Armour,
Lincoln,Sonja (Charles) Devore, Clinton, Ralph
Beaupre, Bloomington, Danny Beaupre, Peru, Kelly
Beaupre, Clinton; two Grandchildren: Kelley Devore,
Clinton, and Bobby Gaitros, Clinton; brother: Henry
(Ina) Armour, Raleigh, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers: Bob Armour, Lincoln, IL and Elvis Armour,
Mount Pulaski.
Claude was a member of the Heyworth Baptist Church.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the
Korean Conflict.
He was the owner and operator of Armour’s Mower Shop
in Wapella. He enjoyed NASCAR and for many years,
Claude and Gladys would attend motorcycle races in
Daytona during the month of March. |
