One arrested in Sunday night home invasion

[January 18, 2016]  LINCOLN - On Sunday, January 17, 2016, at about 9:15 p.m., Lincoln Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Adams St, Lincoln, IL, in reference to a fight in progress inside a residence.

One person was found by police to have a laceration and was taken by Ambulance and is in stable condition. One of the residents of the residence had injuries due to a battery and was also taken by Ambulance and is in stable condition.

Lincoln Police have arrested Joshua Newman (26), 1319 N Hamilton St, Lincoln, for Home Invasion (Class X Felony).

This investigation is still open and in progress by the Lincoln Police Department, so further comments will be limited. The arrest charges are merely allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. All reports will be forwarded to the Logan County State’s Attorney for review.
