[January 22, 2016]  LINCOLN - Insurance and Legislative Meeting - Logan County Safety Complex November 11, 2015

Mr. Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Schaffenacker, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the minutes from the October 14, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business

Liability of off-duty Sheriff Deputies: The Sheriff has taken care of this. Remove from agenda.

Affordable Care Act Compliance: Nothing new to report.
 


New Business

CIRMA Renewal: It increased from $60,000 to $65,000 due to many claims. (Example 9-1- 1 tower) The total increase over 5 years is 10%.

A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Hepler, to accept the CIRMA renewal increase and bring it forward to the full Board. Motion passed.

Peddler Ordinance: The County does not currently have a Peddler Ordinance and Sheriff Nichols has had complaints recently. The committee agreed to look over the City Ordinance and discuss it next month.

IWIN Impairment Rating: A bill was received from IWIN for $152 because they performed an Impairment Rating on an individual from Logan County. CIRMA wanted to know if they should pay the bill because an impairment rating is not required by law.

Mrs. Barr looked into it and found that the impairment rating can help protect the County against workers compensation lawsuits.

A motion was made by Mr. Hepler, seconded by Mrs. Schumacher, to authorize an impairment rating on anyone IWIN is seeing as a treating physician. Motion passed.

Mr. Anderson will discuss IWIN with Mrs. Clark next week to ensure that appointments are scheduled with each case going forward.

Appointments: A motion was made by Mr. Bateman, seconded by Mrs. Schumacher, to approve the appointment of Bill Meyer as the LC Housing Authority Commissioner. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Bateman, seconded by Mrs. Schumacher, to approve the appointment of Mike Rohrer to the Board of Health. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Bateman, seconded by Mrs. Schumacher, to approve the appointment of Todd Walker to the Board of Health. Motion passed.

Recognitions: None.

Raffles: A motion was made by Mr. Bateman, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the St. Jude Runners Association, King of Kings Church, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #2708 raffles. Motion passed.
