NHL roundup: Blackhawks stop rare skid

[January 25, 2016]  CHICAGO -- Corey Crawford stopped 25 shots to earn his league-leading seventh shutout, and the Chicago Blackhawks cruised to a 2-0 win over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday night.

Artemi Panarin and Andrew Shaw scored for the Blackhawks, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

St. Louis lost in regulation for the first time in five games. The Blues were shut out for the fourth time this season and the first time since Dec. 27.

Senators 3, Rangers 0

OTTAWA -- Ottawa snapped a two-game losing streak with one of its best all-round performances of the season to defeat the New York Rangers at Canadian Tire Centre.

Craig Anderson made 35 saves for his third shutout of the season and 32nd of his career.

Bobby Ryan and Mike Hoffman beat Henrik Lundqvist, who stopped 30 shots in the Rangers net, before Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his league-leading fifth short-handed goal into an open net.

Hurricanes 5, Flames 2

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Victor Rask and Elias Lindholm scored first-period goals to get Carolina off to a quick start in an eventual win over Calgary.

Kris Versteeg added two goals and Joakim Nordstrom also scored a late goal for the Hurricanes, who rebounded from a 4-1 home loss to the New York Rangers on Friday night.

Jiri Hudler and Joe Colborne scored for the Flames.

Kings 3, Sharks 2 (OT)

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Marian Gaborik blew a shot past goalie Martin Jones with 53.8 seconds left in overtime to give Los Angeles a come-from-behind win over San Jose.

Los Angeles' Vincent Lacavalier tied the game with 12.2 seconds left in regulation with his fourth goal of the season, all since he was acquired from Philadelphia in a trade.

Drew Doughty also scored for the Kings. The Sharks got goals from Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture.
