Wolverines advance to Springfield Calvary 71-A Regional Title Game

[January 25, 2016]    "Survive and advance. It's tough to beat a team three times in a year. Find a way to win." All of these are things coaches tell their players this time of year.

It's Win or go home time as the regionals are underway and West Lincoln- Broadwell (12-9) found a way to overcome a 0-16 start from the field on Monday night, to pull out a 24-22 overtime victory in Springfield over the Stags from Hartsburg-Emden.

Lucas Konczyk led the Wolverines with 14 points while Patrick McCraith scored the other 10, and Brody Whiteman grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Wolverines will next face the Bulldogs from Greenview on Tuesday night in the title game of the Springfield Calvary 7 1-A Regional.

The Bulldogs advanced after defeating the Falcons from Springfield Little Flower Catholic School.
