[January 30, 2016]    On Thursday, the Lincoln College Men's Volleyball team took on the Culver-Stockton College JV team and came away came away with a three set victory home.  LC struggled with serving consistency during the first two sets, but their ability to side-out effectively and take advantage of C-SC's errors kept the scores close.

The Lynx led most of the way to win set one 25-22, but trailed 15-20 in set two. Sophomore Josue Ramirez served three points in a row to spark the comeback. Fellow sophomore Lukasz Kupiec chipped in three of his team high seven kills during the final stretch to help the Lynx pull off a 26-24 come-from-behind set victory. In set three Lincoln kept the momentum gong and cruised to a 25-17 win to end the match.

LC Coach Mark Tippett: "We played sloppy volleyball for stretches of sets one and two which is not what I would have liked to see, but our athleticism and ability to make adjustments helped us get over the unforced errors that often held us back. We got some good contributions from freshmen players tonight who stepped in and made plays when we needed them. Overall, it was a solid win and one we can learn from as we move closer to the start of our club conference season."

LC will host the Illinois State University club team next Tuesday evening for a 7:00 PM match.
