[July 21, 2016]  LINCOLN - There’s a safer alternative to driving for anyone who has too much to drink celebrating at the Arts in the Park event on July 22 and July 23.

Free rides home will be available from the festival and local establishments that serve alcohol. The Safe Ride program is sponsored by Healthy Communities Partnership.

The program requires participants to ask the bartender or event volunteers for a Safe Ride ticket to receive a free ride home. Calico Cab of Lincoln provides the ride. Rides are only provided from the establishment or event to the rider’s home within the city limits of Lincoln.

Healthy Communities Partnership is a collaborative organization comprised of community agencies and private individuals striving to create the healthiest community in America.
