Illinois State Archaeological Society to Host 16th Annual Indian Artifact Show

[July 26, 2016]  SPRINGFIELD - The public is invited to attend the Illinois State Archaeological Society’s Indian Artifact Show on Saturday, July 30 at the Route 66 Hotel and Conference Center from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. There is no cost to enter the event and all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The society anticipates approximately 70 exhibit tables, showcasing everything from 12,000 year-old Clovis points to 700 year old Cahokia points. Some exhibitors will have items for sale. The mission of the show is primarily educational, with a goal of promoting the study of archaeology, especially in the geographic area of Illinois.
