People's Choice added to Backyard BBQ event
Wristbands will go on sale Friday morning

[June 01, 2016]   LINCOLN - In an effort to allow the general public to sample the competitors BBQ, a “People’s Choice Rib” category has been added to Up in Smoke on the Square.

With the purchase of a wrist band for $15.00, the holder of the wrist band will be able to sample 10 ribs from backyard competitors and vote for their favorite.

Wrist band will be sold by Life Point Church starting Friday Morning at the main BBQ concession area at the intersection of Kickapoo and Pulaski Streets.

The sampling will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 on Saturday June 4th on Kickapoo Street in downtown Lincoln.
