Classic Rock
Classic Rock: 1964-1975 will follow the “birth of rock” beginning
with the British Invasion and transitioning to the music of the
early 70’s, giving participants a comprehensive look and listen.
This class will meet June 7th, 8th, and 9th from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Route 66
Illinois Route 66 Class and Tour will highlight key attractions,
events, shopping and dining experiences along the byway. The class
is scheduled for June 11th, 12th, and 13th from 7:00-8:30 pm and the
tour will be held on June 16th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. This cost
for the class and tour is $75.
Career Research and the Job Search Process
Join us to get the tools and focus you need to be on your way toward
rewarding employment opportunities in Career Research and the Job
Search Process. Meeting on Tuesdays, July 12th through August 9th
from 6:00-8:00 pm, this class will cover interest inventories,
online resources, customized career search documents and
interviewing skills.
Social Security Benefits for Your Financial Future
Social Security Benefits for Your Financial Future will provide
strategies on how and when to apply for payments to maximize your
benefits. This class will be held July 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Real Estate Real Opportunity
Real Estate Real Opportunity will address real estate pitfalls,
buying, selling, financial options and investments. It is scheduled
for July 28th from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Financial Planning in Uncertain Times
Join us to learn successful money management and how to budget for
economic change at Financial Planning in Uncertain Times. This class
will provide the tools to prepare for a secure retirement in an
ever-changing economy and is scheduled to meet August 2nd from
5:30-6:30 pm.
Heartland Community College is al;o offering two youth Enrichment Programs in
Lincoln this summer.
Let’s Sew-Grades 4-8
Learn how to make fun homemade creations using a sewing machine with Let’s
Sew-Grades 4-8. After learning the basics of the machine, you’ll make a Kamp
Kit, headband, postcard, and mug rug. No sewing experience is necessary. This
class will be held July 12th, 13th, and 14th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Build Your Own PC-Grades 6-9
Assemble a working computer from base components in Build Your Own PC-Grades
6-9. Gain valuable troubleshooting skills and the confidence to build your own
custom PC. This class will be held on Saturdays, July 9th, 16th, and 23rd from
noon to 3:00 pm.
