Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society hosts second annual garage sale

[June 02, 2016]  LINCOLN - This One’s for you! The Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society is hosting its second annual garage sale Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, and a number of exceptional items of historic, decorative, and household items will be for sale.

The sale begins at 8 a.m. Friday and remains open until 4 p.m. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Center is located at 114 N. Chicago St. in Lincoln.

Among specialty items are 1880 advertising cards for the original Ivory Creeping Baby, the Golddust Twins in a wash tub; and others; Stetson/Illinois China dishes; and a 1918 photo of Logan County soldiers leaving the Lincoln Depot.

Books include a 1982 Logan County History; The Badger Collection of Lincoln Illinois homes; Lincoln and Hartsburg Centennial books, a Mark Twain set and others.

Also available will be Lincoln Centennial Wooden Nickel cards, Illinois Traction railroad calendars, Abraham Lincoln placemats; an Abraham Lincoln Avon bottle; Lincoln Monopoly game; and soccer and golf Bobblehead dolls.

This garage sale helps the Society fund and care for its extensive collection of Logan County historical items and genealogical research.
