[June 03, 2016]   LINCOLN - With just under two weeks to go, the Lincoln BBQ Committee is pleased to announce that the KCBS portion of Up in Smoke on the Square has exceed the number of contestants it had last year in 2015.

Marc Schoonover and Todd Courtwright advised the media that although there is still room for more, the field is filling quickly. Marc stated, ”We’ve not reached our record from 2 years ago (52), but we are optimistic that we will reach that number this year.” There are currently 43 professional level teams that will compete for a purse of $15,000 in downtown Lincoln June 3rd and 4th.

There are still contestant spots available for The Friday Night Steak Cook off, Kids’ Que, and The Lincoln Backyard. Please visit www.lincoln bbq.com for more event information. If you have questions regarding one of the events for BBQ, e mail us at info@lincolnbbq.com.
