[June 03, 2016]  WHAT: This year marks the 19th year that trail riders and horse enthusiasts from central Illinois are uniting to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® through a Saddle Up® for St. Jude event. St. Jude is one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.

As in previous years, the 2016 fundraiser will be held at Jubilee State Park–Equestrian Area in Brimfield, Ill. There is no cost for admission. The event includes a trail ride, lunch, auction, raffles and giveaways. You don’t have to own or ride horses to be a part of this event; the public is welcome and encouraged to attend. This year’s raffle items include a zero radius turn lawn mower as well as a nice selection of items—from gift certificates donated by local businesses and restaurants to electronics as well as horse- and home-related items. The auction is held under a tent and will be take place whether rain or shine.

Come to Jubilee State Park for a day of fun, food and fundraising. Create lasting memories all while supporting the children of St. Jude and their families. Bring your friends and family, and the Saddle Up group will provide delicious pork burgers with delectable side dishes, beverages and treats. Join us and find out why people cross state lines to be a part of this event. Volunteers are still needed to fulfill a variety of roles. Seating not provided, so be sure to bring chairs.
