[June 04, 2016]  Run Hog Wild 5K - The Lincoln Park District is teaming up with the Pigs & Swigs Festival to offer a fun 5K event on Saturday, June 4. Registration is going on now for the Run Hog Wild 5K. Forms and information are available at the park district, Graue, Inc., or Blades Hair and Nail Salon. Printable forms are available at lincolnparkdistrict.com  or www.lincolnbbq.com.  There will be finisher medals for everyone, and age group winners and an overall male and female winner. All levels welcome. Cost is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 the day of the race.

Tennis Camp
We will be having a tennis camp for kids entering into K-12th grade June 6-10. Camp will focus on serves, overheads, and hitting topspin, forehand, and backhand. Participants will need to bring their own racket.

Volleyball Camp
We will be offering a volleyball camp June 13-17 for kids entering into 5th-8th grade. Participants will learn different skills including passing, serving, hitting, setting, etc.

Summer Crafting Classes
Looking for a fun crafting class to do this summer? We have three different classes coming up, all for ages 12 and older. The Luminary Jars & Picture Magnet Craft Class will take place on Tuesday, June 7 from 6-8pm. The Cupcake Decorating Class will be held on Monday, June 13 from 6-8pm and participants will get to decorate 3 different cupcakes, and take the cupcakes as well as the piping tips and frosting bags home. The Wreath Making Class will be on Thursday, June 16 from 6-8pm. Participants will get to make a beautiful burlap wreath. Cooking Summer Style Class
Join us on Tuesday, June 14 from 6:00-8:00pm for an evening summer-style cooking class. The menu includes Grilled Chicken Satay Skewers, Pesto Pasta Salad with tomatoes and mozzarella, and a warmed berries dessert with honey and vanilla cream. There will be approximately an hour and a half of instruction, and a tasting that follows. You are invited to bring an apron if you would like to help cook.
