Kristin Marten earns doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine

 

[June 07, 2016]  LINCOLN - Kristen Marten daughter of Galen and Joni Marten of Lincoln, graduated on Saturday, May 28th from Des Moines University as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Marten graduated with Honors in the top ten percent of her class.

At the Commencement Banquet, she received the Garrett Reed Wheeler Award in Pediatrics. The award is given to a student in pediatrics that demonstrates exceptional commitment service and humanism while maintaining a stellar academic record.

The 26-year old Lincoln Community High School grad also received the Pediatric Discipline Award. She will start her pediatric residency at the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin this June.
