- William A. Grubbs, Jr., 71, formerly of Bloomington and McLean,
died at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Palm Terrace of
Mattoon. |

Visitation:
Monday, June 13, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00
p.m. at Atlanta-Eminence Township Memorial Home in
Atlanta.
Service: Monday evening immediately
after the visitation.
Funeral home: Quiram Peasley Funeral Home,
Atlanta
Obituary
William A. Grubbs, Jr., 71, formerly of Bloomington
and McLean, died at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7,
2016, at Palm Terrace of Mattoon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016,
from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Atlanta-Eminence
Township Memorial Home in Atlanta. A Memorial
Service will conclude the visitation.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
William Arthur Grubbs, Jr., was born July 5, 1944,
in Lincoln, the son of William A. and Cleta R. Snow
Grubbs, Sr.
Bill is survived by his mother, Cleta; one daughter,
Julie (Dan) Evans of Normal; one brother, Jeff
Grubbs of Bloomington; two sisters: Debbie (Doug)
Peck of Wentzville, Mo. and Bonnie (Tom) Thompson of
Peoria; and three grandchildren: Jordan, Lauren, and
Lexi. |
He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill was a graduate of McLean-Waynesville High School. He served
in the United States Army and had worked in construction. He was
a member of the McLean American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of his daughter.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home.
