[June 13, 2016]  On June 8, 2016, Associate Judge William Workman sentenced Dustin Miller to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with a period of 2 years of mandatory supervised release (formerly known as parole) for the offense of Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production, a class 1 felony. Dustin Miller was also sentenced to 5 years in prison for Unlawful Use of Property, a class 2 felony.

The case arose out of a September 2014 investigation conducted by Illinois State Police. Based on information from confidential sources, Illinois State Police suspected that methamphetamine was being manufactured at a rural Mount Pulaski property. Surveillance was conducted on the property. Entry was made onto the property where investigators located an active methamphetamine lab. Present were Dustin M. Miller and Timothy Hemingway. Investigators seized a liquid that weighed in excess of 75 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.

On March 3, 2015, Timothy Hemingway pleaded guilty to the offense of Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production, a class 1 felony. Pursuant to a fully negotiated plea agreement with the State’s Attorneys’ Office, Timothy Hemingway was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Dustin Miller was convicted after a bench trial in April of this year.
