[June 17, 2016]  LINCOLN -  David Sherman Cochran, 95, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lincoln, passed away April 14, 2016, at Marquardt Hospice in Watertown, WI.

Graveside services:  Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln

Obituary

David Sherman Cochran, 95, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lincoln, passed away April 14, 2016, at Marquardt Hospice in Watertown, WI.

Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln with full military honors provided by the Lincoln American Legion Post 263.
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln has been entrusted with his care.

David was born March 3, 1921, in Gilfoyl, PA., the son of Nelson Clark Cochran and Cordelia May (Louks). He married Kittie May Austin on February 2, 1946, in Austin, PA She preceded him in death on August 26, 1981.

Mr. Cochran proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. He earned the Purple Heart for his bravery in service. He was formerly employed by the Lincoln Rural Fire Department, Lincoln College Maintenance Department, and was employed or 25 years at the Bottle Factory in Lincoln. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Association and the American Legion.



Surviving are his daughters Paula Kay Schoenike of Watertown, WI and Judy Kay Gosda of Chimney Rock, NC; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and his sister Ruby May Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kittie, and brothers: Leonard, Clayton, Wade, Clark, Harold, Paul, Joe, Russell, Carl, Bernard, and Delmar.
