[June 21, 2016]  LINCOLN - Timothy T. Lucas, 54, of Lincoln, passed away at 12:45 pm June 14, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18th at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Timothy T. Lucas, 54, of Lincoln, passed away at 12:45 pm June 14, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

Tim was born October 27, 1961 in Streator, the son of James and Pauline Behrens Lucas. He married Kathleen Linnane Sweeney and they were later divorced.

Tim is survived by his mother: Pauline Lucas; significant other: Jan Smock Malerich; two daughters: Nicole (Joshua) Edwards of Bloomington; Mandy (Cole) Nattier of Tremont; one sister, Jamie (Kurt) Benckendorf of Bloomington; one brother: James Lucas of Elmhurst, Grandchildren: Jace and Kinlee Nattier and his dog, Great Companion Lexi. He was preceded in death by his father.

Tim was a Driver’s Ed teacher and taught Co-op Classes at Lincoln Community High School. He also taught at East Peoria, Woodland, and Chatham. Tim was a member of the Eagle’s Lodge #2708 and the Moose Lodge in Bloomington.

He loved fishing, football, and was well known for his funny personality. He played football at Illinois State University and coached football in Lincoln, East Peoria, Woodland High Schools and was an assistant at Illinois Wesleyan University. Many of his players fondly referred to him as “Coach Blood”.

Services for Tim will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Pastor Billy Newell officiating. Burial will follow services in Harmony Cemetery, Beason. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorials may be given in Tim’s name to his grandchildren’s Education Fund.
