As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Home Tours adds to 33rd Annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger

On behalf of the Harvest Ministry Team, I want to share a huge 'HARVEST THANK YOU' to the six host families who shared their gift of hospitality and their beautiful homes. To Bob & Ann BISHOP, Buck & Megan BRAID, Patrick & April DOOLIN, Marsha FERNANDES (and her granddaughter who greeted guests with a candy kiss, Preslee Sherren, our 2015 Little Miss Logan County), Seth GOODMAN, and Judge William & Tina WORKMAN.

The Harvest Home Tour Committee (Donna Becke, Mary Thomas George, Bethany Henry, Vera Thomas, and Carolyn Neal. Over 60 wonderful volunteers who love the Harvest ministry including the lead hosts/hostesses Tim & Donna Becke, Mary Thomas George, Gaynor & Seth Goodman, Chuck Gunning, Bethany Henry, Paula Knopp, Dean & Judy Kukuck, David Last, Nathan & Genevieve Neal, David Riggs, Dennis & Mamie Shull, Vera Thomas, and Carolyn Neal.

The six ticket sale locations Lincoln Christian Church/Gayla Wood, Jefferson Street Christian Church/Beth Farwell, MKS Jewelers/Kenda Colby, Angela Getchell, Teresa Luken, and Melody Shew, ME Realty, Eaton/Patti Becker, and Red Oak Financial/Brad Neal. The local news media Lincoln Courier/Jessica Lema, LincolnDailyNews/Karen Hargis and Nila Smith, New Herald News/Ta Bergin, and Harvest Happenings/Pat Snyder.

Open Arms Christian Fellowship/Larry Crawford for loaning us the shuttle at Doolins’, our 500 cheerful, polite, and respectful GUESTS. Mrs. Claus’ Workshop/Sara McCain & Cara Ramlow, and all of you ‘Friends of the Harvest’ who helped promote and prayed for this lovely event that began the 33rd Annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger!

Together, you helped raise over $5,340 for hunger relief!!!!! God Bless You!

May your hearts be full and joyful.
