[March 03, 2016]    Early results from the NJCAA Swimming & Diving National Tournament in Fort Pierce, FL for the Lincoln College men's and women's swimming and diving team include several lifetime bests for the Lynx swimmers.

Qualifying for the "A" Finals, which include those individuals with a top-8 time or result in the prelims and are guaranteed a medal an All-American status, include:

  • Christina Vance (Glen Carbon, IL) - 1000 Free Seeded 8
  • Aunyx Ashby (Aurora, CO) - Seeded 3rd with a time of 24.11 (tied season and Lifetime Best)
  • Madi Ewald (Lincoln, IL) - Seeded 6th dropping .47 seconds with a time of 24.24 (Lifetime Best)
  • Logan McDanel (East Moline, IL) - Seeded 7th in the 50 free dropping .36 with a time of 21.92 (Lifetime Best)

Qualifying for the "B" Finals, which include individuals placing 9th through 18th in the preliminary events are as follows:

  • Shannon Smith (Goodyear, AZ) - Seeded 10th 200 IM dropping 6.47 seconds with a time of 2:30.38 (Lifetime Best)
  • Madison Westhoff (Bloomington, IL) - Seeded 14th in the 50 free

Other notable Swims by Lincoln College swimmers:

  • Ian Herzog (Lincoln, IL) - Dropped 38 Seconds in the 1000 free with a Lifetime Best time of 11:18.76
  • Ty Ament (Maple Park, IL) - Dropped 4.18 seconds in the 200 IM finishing in 19th place and also a Lifetime Best
  • Ben Abrams (Bloomington, IL) - Dropped 4.34 seconds in the 200 IM finishing in 24th place and swimming a Lifetime Best
