NBA roundup: Warriors set home win record

 OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Golden State Warriors broke the NBA record for consecutive home-court victories Monday night, getting a combined 68 points from backcourt mates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in a hard-earned, 119-113 win over the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors' 27th straight win at Oracle Arena this season was their 45th in a row at home in the regular season dating back to January 2015. They surpassed the previous record of 44, set by the Chicago Bulls from March 30, 1995, to April 4, 1996.

Curry (7-for-13) and Thompson (5-for-11) combined for 12 treys in helping the Warriors soothe the sting of their 112-95 road defeat to the Los Angeles on Sunday. Curry finished with 41 points and Thompson added 27.

Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier and Jennings had 20 points apiece for the Magic.

Grizzlies 106, Cavaliers 103

CLEVELAND -- Tony Allen returned from a knee injury to score a season-high 26 points, and Memphis stunned Cleveland despite playing short-handed.
 


The Grizzlies were without five rotation players, including their three best, Marc Gasol, Mike Conley and Zach Randolph, yet they still managed to beat the best team the East. The Cavs committed a season-high 25 turnovers.

Cleveland's Kyrie Irving had a chance to force overtime, but his 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the back of the iron. Irving scored 27 points, while LeBron James finished with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Pacers 99, Spurs 91

INDIANAPOLIS -- Monta Ellis scored 26 points, including 21 in the second half, and Indiana defeated San Antonio. The Spurs had an eight-game winning streak snapped and were without coach Gregg Popovich, who was home with an ailing family member.

Paul George added 23 points, including two free throws with 15.7 seconds remaining to give Indiana a 97-91 lead.

Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge each scored 23 for San Antonio, and Patty Mills came off the bench for 17. The Spurs shot a season-low 35.4 percent.

Hornets 108, Timberwolves 103

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Kemba Walker scored 34 points, and Charlotte earned its fifth consecutive win and 10th time in 12 games.

Al Jefferson came off the Hornets' bench to add 20 points, Marvin Williams scored 15, and Nicolas Batum scored 11. Walker added seven rebounds and six assists.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 28 points and 14 rebounds for Minnesota, which lost for the fourth time in five games. The Timberwolves also got 25 points from Andrew Wiggins.

Bulls 100, Bucks 90

CHICAGO - With Bulls leading scorer Jimmy Butler out of the lineup again with a sore knee, Pau Gasol led the way for Chicago with his second triple-double of the season.

Gasol finished with 12 points, 17 rebounds (all defensive) and 13 assists , and E'Twaun Moore, who started for Butler, and finished with 16 points and seven assists. Derrick Rose had 22 points and seven assists.

Jabari Parker had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Milwaukee, and Jerryd Bayless added 20 points.

Pelicans 115, Kings 112

NEW ORLEANS -- Dante Cunningham nailed a go-ahead 3-pointer and Jrue Holiday hit a 17-foot jumper in the final 36 seconds to lift New Orleans to victory.

The Pelicans were led by Anthony Davis' 31 points and 10 rebounds. The Kings lost for the sixth time in seven games despite 40 points and 16 rebounds by center DeMarcus Cousins.

The Kings, who blew a 17-point, second-half lead,trailed by three with seven seconds left. Without a timeout, the Kings inbounded the ball to Darren Collison, but Holiday picked his pocket to ice the victory and snap the Pelicans' four-game losing streak.

Clippers 109, Mavericks 90

DALLAS -- Chris Paul scored 23 of his game-high 27 points in the second half and he singlehandedly outscored the Dallas Mavericks in an explosive third quarter.

The Clippers, now 14-3 in their last 17 road games, got 18 points from Paul in the third quarter while the Mavs managed just 16.

Los Angeles went from trailing by two at the half to going into the fourth quarter ahead 83-68.

Dirk Nowitzki finished with a team-high 22 points for Dallas.
